The SPENVIS help system consists of two parts:
- A set of pages providing information on the SPENVIS models and their use.
These pages are organised in the same way as the model pages, i.e. the
button in the menu bar
of each model page
points to the corresponding help page. Once inside the help system, navigation
is provided by the help page menu bar. These help
pages are also accessible from the table of contents page.
- A set of auxiliary pages, containing
background information,
a glossary of terms,
an index, and a set of
frequently asked questions.
The help pages constitute a stand-alone package, i.e. once inside the help
pages, the SPENVIS server script is no longer needed to navigate through the
pages. This implies that non-registered
users can also browse the help pages. Also, the browser Back, Forward,
and Go buttons may be used to provide additional navigation (these
buttons should not be used in the main SPENVIS system, i.e. when
navigating through and accessing the model pages).
