Jupiter trajectory file upload

Overview

In the framework of the JORE2M2 project, an application has been built to allow the upload of trajectory files in the Jupiter environment. Once uploaded, the trajectory information is converted to a coordinate file which is compatible with the SPENVIS orbit generator output.

The application only supports trajectory files that are conform to the Orbit Ephemeris Message (OEM) standard format. The upload tool supports input coordinates specified in EME2000, and Jupiter and the Galilean moons as central bodies.

The user interface for this application is very simple: using the button, the user can select a file for upload. The title field can be used to enter a label to be used for the output file and applications that will use it.

Pressing the button will start the upload and bring up the "Results" page.
Warning: using the upload tool deletes all existing output from the orbit generator and from any model that uses this output, in order to ensure consistency in the outputs.

Results

The upload tool produces the files listed in the table below. A description of the format of the files can be brought up by clicking on their description in the table.

Output files generated by the orbit generator
File name Description
spenvis_sap.html Report file
spenvis_sao.txt Time and spatial coordinates
spenvis_jup.upl Uploaded trajectory file

To generate plots, select the plot type(s), options and graphics format, and click the or button. The current page will be updated with the newly generated plot files.
